Alzheimer's & Dementia Journal (A&D)
The Alzheimer's Association launched Alzheimer's & Dementia®: The Journal of the Alzheimer's Association in 2005 to share diverse knowledge about Alzheimer's science with the global scientific community.
About the journal
A peer-reviewed journal, Alzheimer's & Dementia aims to bridge knowledge gaps separating traditional fields of dementia research by covering the entire spectrum: from basic science to clinical trials to social and behavioral investigations.
The journal provides a forum for:
- Rapid communication of new findings and ideas.
- Optimal translation of research findings into practical application and interventions.
- Increasing knowledge in diverse disciplines to promote early detection, diagnosis and intervention.
- Identifying promising new directions for research.
In July 2008, Alzheimer's & Dementia was accepted for indexing by MEDLINE, the premier bibliographic database of the National Library of Medicine, part of the National Institutes of Health. Inclusion in this prominent database signals recognition of the journal's scientific merit and contribution to the field of Alzheimer's research.
