Educational Workshop: Basic Neuropathology of
Age-Associated Neurodegenerative Diseases

This workshop will cover fundamental neuropathological features of age-associated neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Lewy body disease.

Lectures will be followed by practice sessions to ensure that participants gain knowledge about the basicneuropathological hallmark lesions and develop an understanding of how these lesions are assessed to provide neuropathological diagnosis.

*Registrants are required to bring a laptop or tablet.

Target audience

The workshop is aimed at basic researchers, clinicians, and students, and can serve as either a beginner's session or a refresher course.


This educational workshop is a preconference to AAIC 2014. Preconferences require a separate registration fee in addition to AAIC or may be purchased as a stand-alone event. Register now.
