Attend one or more of our special fundraising events or host your own event to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Right now the Alzheimer's Association is gearing up for its Memory Walk season. Memory Walk is our only national fundraiser and accounts for the majority of the funds we raise throughout the entire year. Without the support of local sponsors and walkers we wouldn't be able to do what we do. To learn more, visit our Memory Walk site.

March 13 - 14, 2010 Johnson City, TN - HEAD TO TOE WOMEN'S EXPO This exciting event, held at the Freedom Hall Civic Center in Johnson City, TN, has partnered with the Alzheimer's Association this year.  Don't miss out on the nearly 100 vendors eager to offer services and advice for women from "head to toe."  The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 13th and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 14th.  For more information on the Alzheimer's Association's involvement with this event, please contact Tracey Kendall at 423.928.4080 or tracey.kendall@alz.org

March 13, 2010 Memphis, TN - STETSONS AND STARS Cowboy up for Alzheimer's!  Each year this annual event gets you connected with your inner cowboy: shine like a rhinestone atop the mechanical bull, dance with "daisy duke" girls to live country music, whet your whistle and satisfy your Texas-sized appetite with gourmet cowboy fare.  The event will be held at Minglewood Hall from 7:00 p.m. to Midnight.  The cost is $100 per person; tables are also available.  For more information, please contact Lisa Bobal at 901.565.0011 or lisa.bobal@alz.org.

May 6, 2010 Franklin, TN - LAUGHTER REMEDY  Held annually at The Factory at Franklin - Jamison Hall, this event is a fun-filled evening including dinner, silent auction, Family and Professional Caregiver of the Year awards and a comedic performance.  Past performers include Henry Cho, Rik Roberts, and Gary Mule Deer.  With the addition of an Honorary Chair, Laughter Remedy has consistently grown each year.  Past Honorary Chairs include Mike Brent of Bradley Arant Boult Cumming, LLP; Bill Sheriff of Brookdale Senior Living; and James Vandiver of The Resource Center on Aging at Harpeth Hills Church of Christ.  Tickets are $100 per individual and tables of 8 are available.  For more information, please contact Crystal Parsons at 615.292.4938 or crystal.parsons@alz.org.

May 21, 2010 Tullahoma, TN -  AN EVENING TO REMEMBER Join us for an Evening to Remember where each year we honor someone who has struggled with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia from Franklin County, TN.  Enjoy an excellent seated dinner, live music, dancing, and a silent auction.  All proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association.  The event will once again be held at the Arnold Lakeside Club from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Tickets are $40 per person.  Sponsorship and tables are also available.  For more information, please contact Martha Cox at 931.455.3345 or marth.cox@alz.org.

Contact the Chapter office nearest you for a fundraising kit that includes a third-party event proposal form (the Mid South Chapter must pre-approve all third-party events benefiting the Chapter). Download Third-Party Proposal Form

Submit your event report with the proceeds of your event (photos welcome)
