AAIC® Satellite Symposium | May 15-16, 2024 | Cape Town, South Africa, and Online
AAIC Satellite Symposium convenes the dementia science community in Africa. Join leaders in the field from across Africa to discuss how advances in public health, diagnosis and treatment can be applied within the region.
This meeting is part of the year-round learning opportunities offered by the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference® (AAIC®) and is hosted in collaboration with the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI) and the Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health.
A preconference workshop is being offered on May 14. Join the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Alzheimer's Association to learn about the grant submission process (registration required).

For your convenience, a block of rooms has been held at the Westin Cape Town. Single occupancy room rates are 4,800 ZAR and double occupancy rooms are 5,150 ZAR, including VAT. A credit card is required to hold the reservation. Attendees, book your hotel today.
If you are an invited speaker and attending the conference in person, accommodation instructions will be sent separately.
Be sure to check whether you need a South African visa to attend the conference. To request a visa letter, please email aaicsymposia@alz.org. While the Alzheimer's Association has no influence in the visa process, we want you to be aware of potential delays in the process if you need to update your visa.
It is also recommended that attendees confirm they are up to date on vaccinations that may be required to travel to South Africa.
