- Provides an educational opportunity for people with early memory loss, mild cognitive impairment or early Alzheimer’s, family members, care partners and others interested in learning about early memory loss
- Offers an environment in which participants can connect with others who understand the Alzheimer’s experience firsthand
- Allows participants to discuss issues that matter most to people living with early memory loss

Keynote Address:
Gene D. Cohen, MD, PhD
Dr. Cohen is the first Director of the Center on Aging, Health & Humanities (established 1994) at George Washington University (GW), where he also holds the positions of Professor of Health Care Sciences and Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Cohen will present on Innovative Quality of Life Interventions for Alzheimer’s Disease. Included in this discussion will be two approaches used by Dr. Cohen that were awarded First Place in the International Healing Arts Competition administered by the Society for the Arts in Healthcare. NBC and ABC documentaries on these two approaches will be shown.
