To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

Director of Education and Volunteer Programs

Working as a member of the program management team, the Director of Education and Volunteer Programs is an enthusiastic, organized, self-motivated person who will oversee all aspects of family and professional education to provide excellent service to constituents.  This person will also oversee all aspects of volunteer-directed programs (support groups, speaker's bureau, and health fairs) through excellent relationship development.  Key abilities are training, strategic thinking and problem solving.  The person must meet budget and service goals through a variety of different channels.  Candidate must be able to exercise excellent judgment, accept responsibility, and give careful attention to details.  Candidate must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present with poise, confidence and professionalism to diverse groups.  Must develop working knowledge about Alzheimer's disease and its impact on families and caregivers.

Financial information

The Miami Valley Chapter is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donor-supported organization. Programs and services are made possible through contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations. The chapter uses 75% of monies raised for programs, services and research efforts.
