Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Desert Southwest Chapter Memory Walks.  Your dedication and generosity made this another record year!  We had the most support and participation from the community this year!  Over 5,000 individuals and 504 teams walked for the cause. Additionally, 987 volunteers gave of themselves to run the Memory Walks.  Most importantly, the dollars raised support individuals and families in Arizona and Southern Nevada who are struggling with Alzheimer's disease.
 

Memory Walk 2009 - Central Arizona

Thank you for making our Central Arizona Memory Walks each a great success!

Held at two sites in Central Arizona, Phoenix and Sun City, each event included both one and three mile walks around beautiful area parks and streets. Each Memory Walk site had diverse and entertaining activities, including a Kid’s Zone, Evercare Family Tent, live entertainment from 60 Degrees North and the SCAN Band, free food and a dog registration and park for our four-legged supporters!  With your help, we raised over $237,000!

We are very pleased that we were able to continue our partnership with Evercare. They again offered the Evercare Family Tent to walkers at Wesley Bolin Plaza. This tent provided an array of free services for our walkers, including health screenings and a supervised relaxing area for Walkers' loved ones who have memory related issues.

Memory Walk 2009 - Northern Arizona

Thank you for making our Northern Arizona Memory Walks each a great success! With your help, we raised over $85,000 right here in Northern Arizona!

Held in Prescott and Sedona, each Northern Arizona walk included both one and three mile paths around beautiful area parks and streets. Each Memory Walk site hosted diverse and entertaining activities, including live entertainment, free food and prize giveaways! Dogs also joined the walk by registering at a special sign-in table for man's best friend!

Memory Walk 2009 - Southern Arizona

Thank you for making our Southern Arizona Memory Walk a great success!  With your help, we raised over $75,000!

Held at Gene C Reid Park in Tucson, our 2009 Memory Walk includes both one and three mile walks around the beautiful park grounds. The 2009 Memory Walk has diverse and entertaining activities, including live entertainment, free food, a Kid’s Zone with fun games, and local services with valuable information to help you in caregiving. It was truly a fun-filled day!

 

Memory Walk 2009 - Southern Nevada

Thank you for making our Southern Nevada Memory Walk a great success!  With your help, we raised over $92,000!

Held at Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, Memory Walk is a unique, fun, indoor event that takes full advantage of the beautiful mall interior for you to walk with your family, friends and neighbors as a community.  The Memory Walk offers a variety of entertaining activities, including live entertainment, free food and local community leaders.
