 Golfers arrive to the Round to Remember |
Alzheimer’s Association Round to Remember™ Golf Classic raises nearly $60,000
Over 150 golfers came together to support the Alzheimer’s Association East Central Iowa Chapter at the Cedar Rapids Country Club on Monday, May 19th for the Alzheimer’s Association Round to Remember™ Golf Classic. The event raised nearly $60,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association East Central Iowa Chapter. Funds raised at the golf event will fund Alzheimer research, education, support and advocacy.
Participants enjoyed a sit down, grill-out style luncheon, followed by a short introduction from Event Chairman, Bob Vancura, and Board President, Debbie Jones. Golfers teed off with a shot-gun start at 12:30. Following their 18 holes, golfers gathered for a short award reception. Generous donors from the area provided gifts for door prizes and raffle packages, while the flight and flag event winners were announced.
