Alzheimer's Association Will Kickoff Memory Walk Campaign at the Fayette County Fair
Waterloo, Iowa, July 17. The Alzheimer’s Association will be hosting a Memory Walk® booth at the Fayette County Fair Tuesday, July 22nd through Saturday, July 26th. The booth will be located in the exhibit hall at the fair from noon to 9 p.m. every day. Individuals are invited to stop by to learn more about the Alzheimer’s Association and Memory Walk®.
Every 71 seconds someone in America develops Alzheimer’s disease. In East Central Iowa there are nearly 16,000 individuals with the disease, and around 700 persons in Fayette County alone have the disease.
There will also be someone on hand Thursday through Saturday to answer questions about the disease and provide additional information for individuals about Memory Walk®.
Memory Walk® takes place on September 20th at the North Fayette High School Gym in West Union. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the walk beginning at 9 a.m. For more information contact the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org/eci or 1-800-272-3900.
