Early Stage Support Group
The Alzheimer's Association East Central Iowa Chapter is now offering an Early Stage Support Group for those individuals and families experiencing the early stages of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Our message boards have thousands of registered members from around the United States and thousands more who refer to the stories and information that is available 24 hours a day.

Support Group Facilitator Training
Support groups are peer or professionally led groups for caregivers and others dealing with Alzheimer’s disease. All Alzheimer’s Association support groups are facilitated by trained individuals.
The Alzheimer's Association offers training for those interested in facilitating or co-facilitating a support group in a community or independent living setting. Please review our training brochure and facilitator guidelines.
All current support group facilitators are required to attend the 2009 training. The next training will be offered in 2010. Please check back for additional information.
The training is FREE of charge.
