Billy Small is president and CEO of Fountain Properties and its health care company, Fountainview, Inc., where he has done extensive research on appropriate care and facility design for people with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.

His research led to the development of The Fountainview Center for Alzheimer’s Disease.  This 120-bed center is the first long term care community in Georgia developed exclusively for individuals with early, mid and late stage Alzheimer’s disease.  Billy is frequently consulted on issues regarding Alzheimer’s care and has guest lectured for the American Society on Aging, the American Healthcare Association, the Atlanta Regional Commission and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Billy has served as the chair of the chapter’s Public Policy Committee and chaired the chapter’s Memory Walk from 1995 through 1997 and in 2003.  He currently chairs the chapter’s Programs and Services Advisory Committee and is statewide chair of Memory Walk.

His community involvement includes his service on the bard of directors of the Joseph B. Whitehead Boy’s & Girl’s Club, as a director for The Fourth Street Foundation and work with Habitat for Humanity - Atlanta.
