2017 Wine & Chocolate Festival
April 6 & 7, 2017
LeMars & Sioux City

Since its creation in 1994, the Wine and Roses Festival (changed to Wine & Chocolate in 2011) has become not only a tradition, but also one of the most well attended philanthropic fundraisers in Siouxland.  The event has grown from a one evening wine tasting, to a two day - two city event.  It is attended by a variety of people, from the serious wine aficionados, to the hobbyists, to the loyal Alzheimer's Association patrons, and finally to those few who just knew it would be one of the best parties of the year!

 

The proceeds from the event are used to support the programs and services provided by the Alzheimer's Association including the 24/7 Helpline, area support groups, community education, Medic Alert + Safe Return, community awareness, as well as state and federal public policy issues.

As always, the event will showcase world-renowned winemakers and their wines, enhanced with chocolate. Meals that will not fail to delight your palate. Both events will include an array of silent and live auction items.

The events have been scheduled for the weekend of April 6 – 7, 2017.  The details for the weekend are as follows:

  • A Time to Remember – April 6 - Held at the Le Mars Golf Course in Le Mars, Iowa, this intimate evening features a steak dinner with accompanying chocolate and complimentary wines selected for the meal, spent in the company of the winemakers. 

  • Winemaker’s Dinner – April 8 - Held at the Marina Inn in South Sioux City, NE, this exquisite six course, chocolate infused meal will be complemented by several wines personally selected and explained by the winemakers in attendance.  This is sure to be a memorable evening.
