Alzheimer’s disease has been called the disease of the century. As our population ages, the number of Central Illinoisans affected will grow past the current number of 21,500 if no means of prevention are found. As the world leader in Alzheimer’s research and support, the Alzheimer’s Association is leading the charge in the fight against the Alzheimer’s epidemic. So much progress has been made in research and care in recent years, and much important work remains to be done. The Central Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is committed to providing vital services and support to individuals, families, and caregivers in our community. But needs continue to outweigh existing resources. As a not-for-profit organization, the Central Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association relies upon the generosity and volunteerism of individuals and organizations so that we can continue to provide care today and hope for the future.
The Partners in Progress program connects and cultivates mutually beneficial relationships between the Alzheimer’s Association and service organizations, groups or clubs who share a common goal – to improve the quality of life for families in our community. Support from our partners help us to improve services and care for people, create awareness, and mobilize support.
In return, the Central Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association provides a number of opportunities designed to increase visibility of our partners’ commitment to support an important cause. The Central Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association may offer suggestions on how your organization can have a third party fundraiser or you may have ideas of your own. As a local partner, you will help make a difference, be acknowledged as an important contributor, and most importantly help in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease in your community.
