In the 66 counties we serve in Kansas and Missouri, more than 50,000 individuals and nearly 200,000 family members and care partners are suffering the emotional, physical, and financial challenges of Alzheimer's disease. It is projected that in 10 years these numbers will grow by 24 percent in Kansas and 18 percent in Missouri. Alzheimer's disease must be a national and local priority.
The Heart of America Chapter relies heavily on collaborative efforts with area businesses and community leaders. As a donor-supported organization, the need for on-going financial support is crucial, now more than ever. Contributions and event revenue allow the Chapter to be the trusted resource for vital information, education, training, support programs and services to all those in our community affected by Alzheimer's.
The more we do together, the sooner we stop the devastating impact of this disease.
