There are so many ways you can raise $100 (or more)!
Here are five suggestions to get you started:
1. |
 |
Host a fundraising party and ask attendees to pledge
their support. In addition to charging an entrance fee,
ask the establishment where you are holding the event to
donate 10% of their sales from the night. |
2. |
 |
In your office lunch or break room, leave a stack of donation
forms, a sign with a picture of yourself and a note about
why you are participating in the Memory Walk. |
3. |
 |
Use your Participant Center to send e-mails to friends and family asking for donations. Reach out to your social networks by updating your Facebook status with a Memory Walk message. |
4. |
 |
Donate to yourself! What do you spend on your weekly
coffee or magazine habit? Give up a personal treat and
donate that money to the cause. |
5. |
 |
Tap into your talents. Can you make crafts? Mow lawns?
Babysit? Offer your services in exchange for a Memory Walk donation. |
*Most Memory Walk events ask for a fundraising minimum of $100 per
participant to receive a T-shirt. Contact your local chapter to confirm the
T-shirt minimum for the Walk in which you are participating.
