Introduction

Each year, the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota plans several special events to support the Association’s programs and services, and the Association also receives donations generated by friends of the Association who hold events to benefit the Association.

Athletic Events

Run For A Reason

Are you in training for a marathon, 10K or bike race this summer? You can "run for a reason" and raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association by asking friends and family to support you in your athletic endeavors. The Association makes it easy by helping you create your own personalized Web site to ask for support. To get started, please contact Ashley Snell at ashley.snell@alz.org.

A Round to Remember™

Swing your clubs for the cause!
It's time to play A Round to Remember™ in honor of the more than 5 million Americans who are living with Alzheimer's. Ask friends and colleagues to join you in a game of golf and make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.

Memory Walk

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Memory Walk is a national event to help those battling Alzheimer’s and related diseases. The Association holds walks throughout Minnesota and North Dakota each fall.

As the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research, the Alzheimer's Association has been an active partner in "THE ALZHEIMER'S PROJECT," providing expert insight and leading community engagement.

Lunch and Learn: HBO’s The Alzheimer’s Project
Invite your employees or social group to view one of HBO’s four new documentary films on Alzheimer’s disease.  The series takes a look at groundbreaking discoveries made by the country’s leading scientists, as well as the effects of this debilitating disease both on those with Alzheimer’s and on their families.  Chose from: (1) The Memory Loss Tapes (90 min), (2) Caregivers (48 min), (3) Momentum in Science – Part 1 (60 min) & Part 2 (60 min), or (4) Grandpa, Do You Know Who I Am? (30 min)


Alzheimer’s Project” is a presentation of HBO Documentary Films and the National Institute on Aging at the National Institutes of Health in association with the Alzheimer’s Association, The Fidelity® Charitable Gift Fund and Geoffrey Beene Gives Back® Alzheimer’s Initiative.
