Hallmark Hall of Fame's TV movie features Alzheimer storyline

Academy Award winner Sissy Spacek headlines an all-star cast in Hallmark Hall of Fame's "Pictures of Hollis Woods."

Based on the Newbery Honor Book by Patricia Reilly Giff, the story follows a young girl in and out of foster homes until she is finally placed with a retired school teacher who shares her passion for art. But as her new foster mother begins showing signs of Alzheimer's disease, she fears her hopes of finally finding a long-term home may be dashed.

The TV film also features multiple Emmy Award winner Alfre Woodard, two-time Tony Award winner Judith Ivey, James Tupper and Jodelle Ferland as Hollis Woods.

The Alzheimer's Association worked closely with Hallmark Hall of Fame to ensure Spacek's depiction of someone living with Alzheimer's was portrayed in an accurate manner.
