If you or someone you know is experiencing memory loss or behavioral changes, it’s time to learn the facts. This workshop enables you to:

  •  Identify the 10 warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease and what to do next if you or someone you know is experiencing signs of Alzheimer’s.
  • Understand what is involved in getting a diagnosis
  • Identify the risks of Alzheimer’s, including connections to other conditions
  • Understand the benefits of early detection

Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease

This program is designed for individuals interested in learning more about Alzheimer’s disease, or families with a diagnosis or Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. This program provides an opportunity to ask questions regarding Alzheimer’s disease (AD) as well as meet other individuals in similar situations. This program will cover topics such as:

  • The difference between normal aging and dementia
  • The nature of Alzheimer’s disease and other related illnesses
  • The diagnostic process and local diagnostic centers
  • What to expect as Alzheimer’s disease progresses
  • The latest research on risk factors

Maximize Your Memory

Older adults who are interested in how to “Maximize Your Memory”, or are interested in other topics related to memory loss will benefit from participating in this workshop. Individuals will participate in memory exercises as well as discuss the following topics:

  • Different types of memory
  • Changes related to normal aging
  • Memory exercises or strategies that may help

Our research based workshop encourages people to maintain their brain by staying physically and mentally active, eating a brain-healthy diet and remaining socially involved, which are all key aspects of the Maintain Your Brain™ campaign. Both informative and fun, this workshop will feature nutritional and lifestyle advice, strategies to keep your memory sharp, and interactive exercises and activities.
