Early Stage Dementia Educational Classes

These groups are designed for persons with memory loss due to Early Stage Alzheimer’s or related disorder. Separate, concurrent groups for family members are available. Meet others in similar situations and share strategies for living with memory loss. Groups led by compassionate, professional facilitators.

If you or a loved one has a diagnosis of early stage Alzheimer’s, please contact Judy Filippoff, MSW, Early Stage Program coordinator at the Alzheimer’s Association at 1.800.272.3900.

Santa Cruz
Early Stage Education Series: This three-week series is designed to help those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or related memory disorder and their family members. Topics include: Understanding and Coping with Memory Loss, Legal and Financial Planning, and Community Resources and Strengthening Independence.  A pre-interview is required. All classes take place in February at the Live Oak Senior Center located at 1777-A Capitola Road in Santa Cruz.
