The Carroll A. Campbell, Jr. Memorial Golf Classic is an Alzheimer’s Association event to remember a beloved South Carolina political figure while raising funds and awareness for an important cause. Former Governor Campbell passed away with Alzheimer’s disease in 2005. This tournament is held each year to honor the memory of Governor Campbell and the lives of all of our loved ones who have been affected by the disease. An estimated 80,000 South Carolinians will be living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia by 2010.

Our vision is a world without Alzheimer’s. Funds raised through the tournament help support the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association: to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease through research and to provide local services for those who are currently affected by dementia.
