About Memory Walk
The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk®, nationally sponsored by Genworth Financial, is our national signature fundraising event which brings together family, friends, caregivers and concerned community members — who all want to make a difference. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $200 million to help those battling Alzheimer's disease.

Start a team
Forming a team for the Memory Walk can enhance your experience and multiply your impact. Together, as a team, you are a force much greater than what you can accomplish alone. While we encourage you to recruit as many people as possible to join your team, there is no minimum number of people for a team. So gather at least one friend to begin.
You can register your team by following the link (above) to the Walk nearest you. When you get to the walk page, choose the "Register Here" button. When asked, choose "Start a Team." It's that simple. Need assistance? Call Lindsay Sill at 1.800.908.9690.
Buttons of Hope
One fundraising tool you might like to try is a personalized Memory Walk button created through Buttons of Hope. Visit the Buttons of Hope website to place your order. You can upload a picture of a loved one who has or had Alzheimer's to put on your button. Each button costs $5 and $1 of the cost is returned to the Alzheimer's Association. Wear your button around town in the weeks and months before the Walk and you'll find that people will ask you about your button giving you a great way to tell them about the Walk and ask them to support you.
Set a Goal
Remember, the money you raise for Memory Walk helps to fund a cure for Alzheimer's and to fund services for South Carolina families who have a loved one with the disease. So set your goal high!
In order to receive a Memory Walk t-shirt at the event, you will need to raise a minimum of $100. We encourage each walker to try to raise at least $140.
