The Alzheimer's Association Helpline provides 24/7 access to local dementia specific resources, guidance and supportive counseling. Staffed by Master's level clinicians, Helpline offers professional intervention and guidance related to issues such as care plans, behavior mangement, communication techniques, resources and caregiver stress. Telephone Reassurance Program The Alzheimer's Association Southeast Florida Chapter Helpline is proud to offer a Telephone Reassurance Program for caregivers and early stage individuals with Alzheimer's disease. Trained volunteers provide monthly calls to Telephone Reassurance participants to lend a caring ear as well as provide support if any needs are communicated by the participant. If you are interested in learning more about the Telephone Reassurance Program please call our 24/7 Helpline at 1-800-272-3900 or email us at helplinesefl@alz.org. If you are a experienced caregiver who has completed your caregiving journey or a master's level clinician or student in a health field and are interested in volunteering for the Telephone Reassurance Program please email us at helplinesefl@alz.org to request additional information on qualifications & training. Dementia Specific Resource Guides The Southeast Florida Chapter has created and maintains dementia specific resource guides to assist caregivers, professionals and individuals with dementia who may be seeking information about resources within our service area. Topics such as home care, long term care, neurologists/memory disorder centers and elder law attorneys are all available by calling Helpline 1-800-272-3900 or completing a online Helpline inquiry form.
