Fighting Memory Loss

A series of town hall meetings made possible by the support of Siouxland Aging Services, the Iowa Department of Elder Affairs, the Administration on Aging's Alzheimer's Disease Demonstration Grants to States, and the Siouxland Community Foundation.

The sooner you start, the more you can do.  Learn what you can do to fight memory loss now, prevent it later,
plan for the future, and benefit both your health and peace of mind. Speakers from the Alzheimer's Association and Siouxland Aging Services will discuss services and support that can help older adults with memory loss to remain independent and safe at home longer.

Seniors often avoid seeking assistance until a crisis occurs; they may not know what help is available, or be reluctant to accept help.  Siouxland Aging Services is able to provide financial support for care and services through 2008 thanks to grant funding from the Iowa Department of Elder Affairs and the Administration on Aging's Alzheimer's Disease Demonstration Grants to States.
