Shady Oaks Team presents: Chip n' Putt!

The Shady Oaks Memory Walk Team invites Lake City area golfers to a two person best ball golf outing Saturday morning, May 24 at the Lake City Country Club.  Proceeds benefit the Shady Oaks team in the West Central Memory Walk, Sept. 6 in Carroll.

Entry fees are $50 per team ($60 with cart).  For more information, contact Shannon Minshall at Shady Oaks, 712 464 3106.

Manning Team presents: Patty Waszak!

The Manning Regional Healthcare Center and Family Healthcare Clinic invite you to a benefit for the Manning Team in the West Central Memory Walk.

Patty Waszak of Pigeon Forge, TN will perform Sunday, June 29 at 2:00 pm in the Manning Community School Auditorium [ map ]

Choose a walk near you

Most walks take place during the fall. Choose from a walk below to register or to support a walker.

• Greater Siouxland Memory Walk: Saturday morning, June 28 at the Anderson Pavilion, Sioux City
• West Central Memory Walk: Saturday morning, September 6 at Swan Lake Park in Carroll
• Northwest Memory Walk: date and site TBA
• Great Lakes Memory Walk: Sunday, September 21 (World Alzheimer's Day) at East Leach Park in Spencer

Start a team

Forming a team for the Memory Walk can enhance your experience and multiply your impact on the fight against Alzheimer's. Together, as a team, you are a force much greater than what you can accomplish alone.

Team recruitment and event planning for Memory Walk 2008 is already underway.  If you want to start your own team or join the planning committee, contact:

• Amy Anderson if you're in Siouxland, Northeast Nebraska, South Dakota, Plymouth and Cherokee counties, Northwest Iowa, or the Iowa Great Lakes

• Gwen Ecklund in Denison, Carroll, and West Central Iowa
