Become A Volunteer - We Need You!

Our volunteers are passionate, inspired and want to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.  Volunteers help staff resource tables, deliver presentations through our Speakers Bureau, help with our Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and participate in many other ways that help us achieve our mission.

Whether you can spare a few hours a week or can make a more significant time commitment, please consider becoming an Alzheimer’s Association volunteer. Your gift of time can make a difference on behalf of 340,000 Texans living with Alzheimer’s disease.

Please take a few minutes and browse through the service opportunities page.

Interested?  Complete the online volunteer application below which will be sent directly to Sabrina Strawn.  If you have further questions email Sabrina at sstrawn@alz.org or call 713.314.1332.  We look forward to meeting you!

Existing volunteers can access the Volunteer Information Center by clicking the link below.

Walk to End Alzheimer's

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. The 13 Walks across Southeast Texas attract more than 10,000 participants and in 2014, raised $1.4MM growing 21%. The Houston Walk to End Alzheimer's was the 21st largest Walk in the Nation.

Planning committee members play an integral part in the success of the Walk by recruiting companies and individuals to join us in the fight against Alzheimer's. This year round volunteering opportunity helps increase awareness while raising critical funds for local, state, and nationwide efforts.

Committee members will receive training and work in volunteer teams focusing on team recruitment, retention, and sponsorship. Interested?  Contact Amanda Duke at aduke@alz.org or call 713.314.1337 to schedule a one on one meeting to discuss committee opportunities.  We look forward to meeting you!
