The Longest Day is one of the signature fundraising event for the
Alzheimer’s Association, and like the highly successful Walk to End Alzheimer’s,
individuals and teams can organize events and fundraise all year round .
The event is traditionally celebrated on the Summer Solstice,
(June 21), and is all about love:
love for someone with dementia, love of being active,
love of being part of an effort to end this disease!

Young professional women from our community hit the turf for a
flag football game that aims to raise funds and awareness of Alzheimer's disease
and the Alzheimer's Association WNY Chapter.
There are so many ways to get involved with Blondes vs. Brunettes -
volunteer, play, coach, cheer from the sidelines!

Even if you can't attend the game, you can still support these amazing women
by making an on-line donation to the BvB Program at: or
follow the teams on Facebook -

Join us on a family-friendly, all-ages appropriate 2-mile FUNdraising walk at five
Western New York locations this fall!
Entertainment, souvenirs, basket and 50/50 raffles and snacks are all available on the
day of Walk, with fundraising encouraged to earn wonderful incentives and benefit
our mission to end Alzheimer's.
We provide resources and education for all those impacted by dementia across
eight counties (Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming)
and a portion of funds is dedicated to research to find treatments and a cure
for this progressive and fatal disease.

There is no fee to register/Walk, but fundraising is strongly encouraged,
as this is the major source of support for us.
