Last week the Alabama Senate unanimously passed Senate Joint Resolution 38, sponsored by Senate President Pro Tem Del Marsh and co-sponsored by the other 34 Senators.  SJR38 proclaims April 30, 2019 as Alzheimer’s Awareness Day and commends Alzheimer’s Association: Alabama Chapter for its work in fighting this terrible disease and in advocating for people living with Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia and their caregivers.  On Thursday, April 18th, the Senate also passed the identical HJR118, sponsored by Representative Laura Hall and co-sponsored by all 103 other members of the Alabama House of Representatives.  HJR118 was sent to Governor Kay Ivey on Thursday for her approval.  Thank you to all members of the Alabama Legislature.  Together, we can end Alzheimer’s Disease!
