Whether it's choosing a favorite activity, hosting an event or joining a team,
participants in The Longest Day (the Alzheimer's Association's second signature
fundraising event) will help ignite a global conversation about Alzheimer's
disease and other dementias as part of Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month
in June.

When we started The Longest Day campaign at the beginning of the year,
we knew that every 66 seconds someone in the United States develops
Alzheimer's disease. In March, through the release of the
2018 Alzheimer's Association Alzheimer's Disease Facts and Figures Report,
we learned that the timeframe is now every 65 seconds. The needle is moving
in the wrong direction. That's why we're asking 66 businesses to help us paint
Greater Cincinnati purple and join in the fight against Alzheimer's disease
with The Longest Day. Our thanks to the businesses who have already taken
the pledge to support the Alzheimer's Association through this special initiative.

Thanks for Supporting The Longest Day 2017

Our thanks to the 50 local teams that participated in The Longest Day 2017. They joined thousands of other teams nationwide in honoring those who face the daily challenges of living with Alzheimer's, those who live the longest day every day. In addition to team activities during the week of June 21, the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Cincinnati hosted a day-long celebration of The Longest Day at Smale Riverfront Park on June 21. Those participating in The Longest Day help to raise awareness and funds in the fight against Alzheimer's. The great thing is team leaders choose the activity - whether it's bike riding, bowling, cooking, video games, shopping - whatever they want to do.

No matter how you participated, you helped make a difference in the millions of lives affected by Alzheimer's.
