Join the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by becoming an Alzheimer’s Association Miami Valley Chapter volunteer. From planning an event to hosting a support group to providing office support, there are many ways to get involved with positions that best fit your interest and skill level. Administrative/Receptionist: Apply Here

If you want to help people who come to our office feel welcome and supported, this Director of First Impressions is for you.  Other tasks and requirements include clerical & data entry, prepare mailings & packets, manage incoming calls and assist with outgoing calls. Must be friendly & courteous, have the ability to communicate effectively and enjoy working in an office setting. Computer knowledge a plus.  Our receptionists work a four-hour shift: 8:30 a.m-12:30 p.m. or 12:30-4:30 p.m.

Help improve the quality of care and quality of life for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families by carrying our message to elected officials at the federal, state and local levels. Communicate with elected officials via letters, phone calls and other calls-to-action, participate in area events and share your story.


Community Educator: Apply Here

Deliver community education programs using prepared training materials on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease, other dementias and memory loss as well as information for individuals and families impacted by the
disease.


Community Representative: Apply Here

Attend local health fairs, social events, sporting events, charity campaigns and other public venues to provide information about Alzheimer’s disease, our programs and services, and ways to help in the fight against Alzheimer’s. This is a great way to learn about Alzheimer's and serve your community. Training and materials provided. Locations and times vary. Some events are held outside.
Friendly and courteous, dependable and prompt, enjoy meeting new people and link them to services and programs of the Association. Approximately 4-5 hrs per health fair. 


Early-Stage Social Engagement Leader: Apply Here

Help facilitate support groups that offer dementia-related education, emotional support, and connections with resources so that group members may live their best life for as long as possible.


Faith Outreach Representative: Apply Here

Liaisons between the Alzheimer's Association and local faith groups or congregations. They share information about Alzheimer’s disease, our free resources, and ways to join our cause at local community and education events.

Physician Outreach Representative: Apply Here 

Community engagers that raise awareness of Alzheimer's Association programs and link medical professionals to these services. These volunteers serve as a liaison between the Alzheimer’s Association and local medical professionals. Tasks include direct phone calls to physician offices, preparing direct mailings, delivering information to physician office locations.


Special events: Apply Here

Assist with the planning and execution of fundraisers such as Walk to End Alzheimer’s, The Longest Day and Memory Day, Committee member tasks include recruiting team members, raising revenue, increasing awareness and implementing event activities.


Support Group Facilitator: Apply Here

Help facilitate support groups that provide emotional, educational and social support to those caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Click here for facilitator job description.
