This month, over 1,200 advocates gathered in Washington, D.C., at the 2019 Alzheimer's Impact Movement Advocacy Forum to strengthen their advocacy skills and urge their congressional representatives to take action and make Alzheimer's a national priority. The Alzheimer's Association was happy to welcome NARFE members from around the country, including Kenneth Thomas, the National President of NARFE; Olivia Williams, the NARFE Alzheimer's National Committee Chair; and Louis Katz and Diana Chan; both NARFE Alzheimer's regional coordinators. NARFE members continue to demonstrate dedication to fighting this disease, and the Alzheimer's Association looks forward to continuing our work together to advocate for policy priorities that will help Americans impacted by Alzheimer's and fuel research to end the disease.
