NARFE July
If you haven't had the chance to register for the national NARFE Walk to End Alzheimer's® team, you still have time! This year's Walk may look a little different, but we remain dedicated to ending Alzheimer's and encourage you to join in! The health and safety of all of our constituents are our top priorities. We won't have any large, in-person events — instead, we invite you to walk in small teams of friends and family while others in your community do the same. We're all still walking and fundraising for the same thing: a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Join the NARFE team today!

Biogen submits aducanumab data for FDA review
Biogen announced the completion of its regulatory filing to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on aducanumab for the treatment of dementia and mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer's. If approved, aducanumab would become the first therapy to reduce the cognitive and functional decline of people living with the disease. Learn more.

Tips for those seeking COVID-19 testing
People living with dementia and their caregivers may be concerned with the risks of going out in public to get tested for COVID-19, either at a doctor's office or another environment. We have tips and information on testing, including drive-through options offered by state health departments and Alzheimer's Association corporate partner CVS. Learn more.

Alzheimer's is not just a disease of old age
Younger-onset (also known as early-onset) Alzheimer's affects people younger than age 65. Up to 5 percent of the more than 5 million Americans with Alzheimer's are living with younger-onset. Our information and resources can help. Learn more.

Take precautions and make adjustments to live independently
Many people living with Alzheimer's continue to successfully reside on their own during the early stage of the disease. Making simple adjustments, taking safety precautions and having the support of others are a few ways to maintain your independence. Learn more.
