NARFE April
This is an exciting time for the Alzheimer's cause! There are now two FDA-approved treatments that can give people in the earliest stage of the disease more time to live independently, and more potential treatments are in the pipeline. Unfortunately, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has blocked access to these and future FDA-approved anti-amyloid treatments. Every day this decision isn't reversed, 2,000 transition out of treatment eligibility. This unprecedented and unjust decision took center stage in Washington, D.C., last month at the 2023 Alzheimer's Impact Movement (AIM) Advocacy Forum — the nation's premier Alzheimer's disease advocacy event. Alzheimer's advocates raised their voices for access to treatments that would improve the lives of people living with early Alzheimer's. We are grateful for NARFE member support of the Association's advocacy and research efforts year round. Thank you for your continued partnership in the fight to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia!
