Adult education may help reduce Alzheimer's risk
Older people who take adult education classes may lower their risk for Alzheimer's and other dementia, results of a new study suggest. Researchers said middle-aged and older people in such classes had a 19% lower risk of developing dementia within five years. Experts caution that individuals in adult education classes could have a lower risk for other reasons, and that people should incorporate a variety of healthier habits as they age as part of a brain-healthy lifestyle.
