The Alzheimer's Association - Greater Michigan Chapter was founded in 1981 around a kitchen table as a grassroots effort dedicated to supporting families struggling with Alzheimer’s. That dedication is still at the heart of our service today that touches more than 190,000 people living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia and their families in Michigan.

The Greater Michigan Chapter, headquartered in Southfield with offices in Flint, Grand Rapids, Marquette, Midland and Traverse City, serves individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia and all others impacted by the disease, including their families, caregivers and community as a whole throughout our 60 county service area.

For general dementia questions or more information on our care and support resources, please call our 24/7 Helpline at 800.272.3900 or email
