The Alzheimer’s Association Helpline is a 24/7 resource available to anyone needing support or information related to Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. The Illinois Chapter is seeking qualified volunteers to assist its Care Navigation Team with Helpline needs.
Volunteer Helpline Technicians are needed to provide Alzheimer’s disease-related: (1) information; (2) referrals; (3) and support to individuals who have been diagnosed, are caregivers, professionals, students and others who contact the Helpline via phone, internet and mail. Training is required and provided by the Chapter.
Volunteer Helpline Coordinators are needed to help with Alzheimer’s disease-related: (1) resource verification; (2) community outreach; (3) and other administrative / clerical support. For each position a minimum of a one-year volunteer commitment is required, and the volunteer is needed at least one day a week, Monday through Friday.
In order to become a volunteer at the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter, we request that volunteers create a profile. This will help to inform us of your volunteer interests and availability.
