The Alzheimer’s Association Long Island Chapter offers free education programs in-person and virtually. These programs provide information on topics including the signs of Alzheimer’s disease, diagnosis, communication, living with Alzheimer’s and caregiving techniques.

We also offer programs to organizations and community groups, by request. To schedule an education program for your group, please call 800.272.3900.

Alzheimer’s and other dementias cause changes in memory, thinking and behavior that interfere with daily life. Join us to learn about 10 common warning signs and what to watch for in yourself and others. 

Dementia Conversations
Get tips for talking about difficult issues, such as when to stop driving or going to the doctor for cognitive testing. 

Dementia Man: An Existential Journey play
In this awareness program, actor and playwright Samuel Simon takes the stage as a man facing his own diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease and asks the hard questions of what to do next. There is no cost to attend and all are welcome

Enhancing the Dining Experience for People with Dementia
