This hearing will discuss legislation to create a standard of dementia training for healthcare providers across the District. Those with Alzheimer's or other dementia are high users of long-term care and have needs that make care delivery more challenging. This bill aims to improve the quality of care provided to them, and the experiences for individuals with Alzheimer's or other dementia.
This bill expands dementia training requirements in the District of Columbia. Please read the Fact Sheet about why this is so important. Contact Sadaf Ahmad to learn more about this important policy priority.
