Parker County resident Barbara L. Harty will share her expertise in Alzheimer’s disease and describe promising new research at the North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford on September 7.

Ms. Harty is a lead coordinator for research studies involving aging, including Alzheimer’s, in the Geriatric Division at UNT Health Science Center. She has been a registered nurse for the last 25 years. Her practice consists of long-term care where she attends to about 100 patients a month in nursing and assisted-living facilities.

Ms. Harty is a veteran of the U.S. Army Medical Corps, a horsewoman, and the Honorary Chair of the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Weatherford.
