Jeff-Bird-2021_72dpi.jpgA seasoned non-profit and business executive with roots in Colorado has returned to take the helm of the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado. Jeff Bird, who previously served as executive director of the North Central Texas chapter of the Association, has moved to the Colorado chapter and will be based in Denver. He also has oversight for Alzheimer’s Association chapters in Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to join the team in Colorado and continue our efforts to raise awareness of this devastating disease, provide valuable information and education, and raise funds for research to find a cure,” said Bird. “With more than 6.2 million people across the U.S. living with Alzheimer’s, including 76,000 Coloradans, there is a need for urgency to find a treatment and cure.”

Prior to joining the Alzheimer’s Association, Jeff worked at the non-profit Family Support Center in Salt Lake City, served as Colorado-based executive director at the American Diabetes Association for a five-state region (Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Wyoming and Montana), and as state director for the March of Dimes.

Before entering the nonprofit world, Jeff was a highly successful salesperson, working predominantly in the medical supply field, where he led sales teams and was a regional trainer.

A native of Utah, Jeff earned an MBA and bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah.
