Caregiver Support Groups
Our in-person and virtual caregiver support groups offer comfort, reassurance, practical advice and a community of people who are facing similar challenges. These meetings are for family members or friends caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s disease, another dementia or a related disorder. (Please note they are not appropriate for professionals or paid health workers.) Our early-stage support groups intend to provide a safe and positive environment for individuals who have a physician’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, another dementia or a related disorder. People who attend should be comfortable and open to discussing their diagnosis and symptoms in a group setting. Prescreening is required prior to enrollment. Care Consultations
The Hudson Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association provides free care consultations that are confidential and personalized to your needs. Each of our Care Consultants has expertise in the field of dementia care. Consultations can be provided by phone, video or in-person and can include family members in separate locations.
