Preventing and treating Alzheimer's disease

While there is no known cure for Alzheimer's, there are a number of new medications and treatments that have shown the ability to slow its progression. Some of the latest medications include Leqembi, Aduhelm, and Prexpiprazole and at least 140 other therapies are currently being tested. KTVU's Alex Savidge speaks with Claire Day, Chief Program Officer of the Alzheimer's Association of Northern California and Northern Nevada about the advancements made to fight the disease.

Alzheimer's Association

The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.™ For more information, visit www.alz.org or call the 24/7 Helpline at 800.272.3900.
