Burden and correlates of cognitive performance in Syrian refugees in Jordan

    Tala Al-Rousan, MD
Global Brain Health Institute and University of California
San Diego, CA - United States

This study will evaluate brain health among a group of Syrian refugees after forced migration. Dr. Al-Rousan plans to explore the different cognitive performance profiles of Syrian refugees in Jordan by estimating the rates and profiles of their Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other psychiatric evaluations. The researchers plan to compare the results in a group of Syrian refugees living in different settings. The study findings could be used to create environments that best support brain health of individuals.
