Raise your voice during ALZ Action Week, March 10-14

Raise your voice during ALZ Action Week, March 10-14

From all across South Carolina, constituents impacted by Alzheimer's or dementia gathered at the SC State House on March 5 for our annual Alzheimer's Association advocacy day. Please join us to keep that momentum going March 10-14 during our ALZ Action Week!

"Alzheimer’s isn’t a red or blue issue — it is purple. What unites us all is our shared vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia,” said Ashton Houghton, Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Association, South Carolina Chapter. “It’s vitally important for our state lawmakers to hear from constituents in their own communities about the needs of families facing dementia. These conversations and relationships can spark widescale change to improve the lives of countless people across the Palmetto State.”

It's not too late to add your voice to our bipartisan efforts!

With just a few minutes each day March 10-14, you can make an impact for your family and your fellow South Carolinians. Here's peek at how you can amplify our message during ALZ Action Week.

March 10 - Make Monday Matter

Did you miss our State House Advocacy Day last week? No worries! You can get involved right now during our ALZ Action Week. Get timely alerts about local advocacy opportunities sent right to your phone by texting ALZSC to 1-888-438-0144.

March 11 - Take Action Tuesday
Make a video today and share it! To take action today, record a brief video to share on your social media (and with us!). This is an impactful way to share your story and ask for your legislators' support of state efforts that will help caregiving families. We've even provided a sample script.

    March 12 - Reachout Wednesday
Share our advocacy campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues to encourage them to join you as an advocate.

    March 13 - Throwback Thursday

Time to #TBT with a favorite photo of who inspires you to fight back against Alzheimer’s or dementia — or post a picture of you at a past Alzheimer’s Association event. Post on Facebook, Instagram, X and/or LinkedIn, and tag the @alzsc along your SC State Legislator. Make sure to use the hashtag #SCALZTBT so we can find your post!

March 14 - Go Purple Friday
Wear your heart on your sleeve by dressing in purple today. Post a photo on social media to share why, and tag your SC State Legislator. Example: Alzheimer’s isn’t a red or blue issue — it’s purple. Together, we share the vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all dementia. #IGoPurple in honor of my grandfather. Please join me! @senator @representative
