Alumni of the public health track pursued research projects applicable at a population level, such as disease prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD), systems change through policy and reform, cost of care, and preventative interventions with respect to risk reduction.
Alumni of the psychosocial track focused their research on examining individuals' risk, resilience and outcomes through the lens of psychological factors and an individual’s social environment, and developing and testing interventions. In the context of ADRD, alumni of this track also focused on the effects of dementia on individuals and caregivers, as well as differences across stages of the disease.
