Hope Is Blossoming gala raises critical funds for the Alzheimer's Association of Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE, WI, MARCH 14, 2025 - The Alzheimer's Association Wisconsin Chapter's Hope Is Blossoming Gala, presented by GE HealthCare, was a resounding success, bringing together community leaders, advocates, and supporters to raise critical funds in the fight against Alzheimer's disease and other dementia. The event took place on Thursday, March 13, at Discovery World on Milwaukee's lakefront.

This year's gala spotlighted the disproportionate impact of Alzheimer's on women, highlighting that nearly two-thirds of Americans living with Alzheimer's are women, and more than 11 million women are either living with the disease or caring for someone who has it.

The evening featured cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, live music, a silent auction, and a live auction. Guests enjoyed an evening of camaraderie and philanthopy, all in support of a vital cause. Catherine Estrampes, President and CEO, U.S. and Canada at GE HealthCare, served as the honorary chair.

"This year's Hope Is Blossoming gala was an impactful night and it was an honor to spend it with so many people who share similar stories to mine," said Catherine Estrampes, President and CEO, US & Canada at GE HealthCare. "I do not wish my experience as a family member to someone with Alzheimer's disease on anyone, but it has driven my purpose at work and I feel encouraged by our progress -- especially after last night. I share in our combined hope."

The event raised over $375,000 to support the Alzheimer's Association's mission of accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. More than 300 guests attended the gala.

"The Hope Is Blossoming gala was an incredible evening of coming together for a cause that affects so many," said Dave Grams, Executive Director of the Alzheimer's Association Wisconsin Chapter. "The funds raised will directly impact our ability to provide crucial support and resources to individuals and families facing the challenges of Alzheimer's disease in Wisconsin."

The funds will directly support the Alzheimer's Association's mission of providing help to those that need it. The Association offers a 24/7 Helpline, safety services and education and training. They also provide both in-person and virtual consultations along with support groups.
