The Walk to End Alzheimer's is more than just a walk; it's a hopeful, casual gathering that fuels free local education classes, support groups, a 24/7 Helpline, and vital resources for families facing Alzheimer's and other dementia. Funds raised also contribute to groundbreaking research toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
Whether you're a seasoned event planner, a passionate advocate, or simply looking to make a difference, there's a role for you! Volunteer committee members are needed to:
- Plan and organize Walk events
- Grow local community support
- Coordinate event-day logistics
Fight for a different future for the 7 million Americans living with Alzheimer's, including more than 110,000 Wisconsinites.
- Honor loved ones—those living with the disease and those we've lost.
- Connect and grow—meet passionate people, gain new skills, and make a real difference in your community.
- Interested in joining a Walk committee? Contact Stephanie Ziemke, VP of Development, slziemke@alz.org or 414-431-8813 to get started.

Community members are also encouraged to register early for their local Walk to End Alzheimer's and begin fundraising. Registration is free at act.alz.org/wisconsin. Each participant receives a personal fundraising web page which is easy to customize and share with friends and family.
Today, more than 11 million family members and friends provide unpaid care for people living with dementia in the U.S. Your support, whether as a volunteer or a walker, helps the Alzheimer's Association provide critical resources and hope to families across Wisconsin.
Together, we can walk toward a world without Alzheimer's. Join us!
