Regional Vice President Jim Wessler Retiring; Ginny Hanbridge Promoted to Regional VP for Region 11

Region 11 Vice President and MA/NH Chapter Executive Director Jim Wessler has announced his retirement from the Alzheimer’s Association, effective May 16, 2025. Jim joined the Association in May 1998 as chapter executive of the Massachusetts/New Hampshire chapter. He was promoted to region lead in 2016. Under Jim’s leadership, the chapter and region saw great successes, including passing impactful state legislation, developing strong partnerships with health care institutions, and launching the Dementia Care Coordination initiative (which partners with over 40 health care systems and supports more than 3,000 New England families annually). Additionally, the team has developed strong fundraising programs in Walk to End Alzheimer’s, The Longest Day (number 1 region in the nation), gala and Ride to End ALZ.

Please also join in congratulating Ginny Hanbridge who has been promoted to Region 11 vice president and chapter executive at the Massachusetts/New Hampshire chapter. Ginny has an extensive background of building philanthropic support, growing donor constituencies, strategic planning and program implementation. She begins her new role on May 4, 2025.

Ginny joined the Connecticut chapter in 2019 as director of Development. She was promoted to chapter executive in 2021 and has held that position since then. Prior to joining the Association, Ginny worked at several nonprofits in Development and Marketing roles, including the American Heart Association, the Greater Boston Food Bank and National Brain Tumor Society, among others. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of New Hampshire in Durham.
