To help maximize quality care and support for all those affected, Moreno oversees the Association’s suite of online services. These resources include: ALZConnected, a free online community for people living with dementia and their caregivers, ALZNavigator, an assessment tool allowing people with the disease, caregivers and those concerned about memory loss to create personalized action plans and the Alzheimer’s Association and AARP Community Resource Finder, a database of dementia and aging-related resources. Additionally, Moreno manages the Association's education programs, including Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia and 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's.
Moreno oversees products related to the Association’s Dementia Care Practice Recommendations. The product line — which includes essentiALZ training, certification and curriculum review — is designed to train professional care providers to deliver person-centered care to people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Moreno has more than two decades of experience working with people living with dementia and their caregivers.
She is co-author of a chapter in “Evidenced-Based Protocols for Managing Wandering Behavior,” named Book of the Year by the American Journal of Nursing. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Loyola University Chicago.
