    Empowered Caregiver Series

    These courses aim to help caregivers feel more prepared to handle the challenges that come with caring for someone living with dementia. Caregivers may register for individual courses or complete the entire series to meet their needs.

    - Wednesday, February 19, 2025 @ 11:00am, Communicating Effectively teaches how dementia affects communication, including tips for communicating well with family, friends and health care professionals.

    - Wednesday, March 12, 2025 @ 11:00am, Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors details common behavior changes and how they are a form of communication, non-medical approaches to behaviors and recognizing when additional help is needed.

    - Wednesday, April 9, 2025 @ 11:00am, Community Resources Open Panel. Join the conversation about local resources from field experts providing hospice, home health care and other services.

    - Wednesday, May 9, 2025 @ 11:00am, Building Foundations of Caregiving explores the role of the caregiver and changes they may experience, building a support team and managing caregivers stress.

    - Wednesday, February 26 @ 5:30 p.m., Managing Money: A Caregiver's Guide to
    Finances. This evidence-based workshop helps caregivers understand the costs of caregiving
    and the benefits of early planning.

    - Wednesday, March 26 @ 5:30 p.m., Building Foundations of Caregiving. This workshop explores the role of the caregiver and changes they may experience, building a support team and managing caregivers stress.

    - Wednesday, April 23 @ 5:30 p.m., Supporting Independence. This workshop focuses on helping the person living with dementia take part in daily activities, providing the right amount of support, safety and independence while managing caregiver
    stress.
