Ali (Alison) Bourque is the chief of staff for the president and CEO at the Alzheimer's Association. In this role, she provides leadership of key initiatives with Association-wide impact. Among other responsibilities, Bourque coordinates the Association's strategic planning process and staffs the Executive Committee, Governance and Nominating Committee, and Mission Outcomes Committee of the Board of Directors, and provides advice, counsel and support to staff and volunteers across the organization.
Bourque has been with the Association since June 2007. She managed communications and coordinated board and staff projects during the Association's transition to a single entity in 2016 and has supported the Board of Directors' continuous improvement and growth. Bourque's talented team works to ensure that the Office of the President and CEO and the Board of Directors are well positioned to address the needs of our constituents.
Bourque brings more than 25 years of nonprofit experience to her current role. Her more than 16 years with the Association includes two years in the Chapter Relations division, coordinating the field staff leadership transition program. Before joining the Association, Bourque oversaw international and domestic initiatives for the Innovation Center for Community and Youth Development in Washington, D.C., as well as served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala working on community development issues.
Bourque holds a bachelor's degree in international studies and political science from American University and a master's degree in public administration from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.
